Jep, we breiden uit. Neen, geen kleintje, maar beestjes. Meneer Haan hebben we al, mevrouw Kip moet nog komen. Verleden zaterdag zijn we dus ook naar Zingem geweest om een huis te voorzien voor meneer Haan & mevrouw Kip. Het was mooi weer en het verliep vlotjes. Ondertussen zijn we ook een hoop rommel kwijt want het hele huisje bestaat uit recuperatiemateriaal!

Ondertussen hebben we ook besloten om te kappen met onze aannemer, we gaan gewoon een nieuwe zoeken zodat onze dorpels ooit toch eens in ons huis geraken. Ik ben blij met deze beslissing!

Deze week staat Batibouw nog op ons to-do lijstje, dan binnenkort Sfeer. En met de zon die zich regelmatig al wat laat zien mogen jullie aannemen dat onze bouw weer stilletjesaan op gang komt, I like :)

Jep, we're increasing. No, not a little one but chickens! We allready have mister Cock, miss Chicken has to come over yet. Last saturday we went to Zingem to build a little house for miss & mister. The weather was nice & it went fine. Now we also are rid of some trash, because the house is made of it!

We also have made the decision we'll quit with our former builder and find ourselves a new one. I'm very happy with this decision!

This week Batibouw is still on the to-do list, a bit later it'll be time for Sfeer. And with the sun who shines a bit more allready, you may accept that our renovation starts again slowly, I like :)

facade dilemma

Zoals de titel het zegt, we zitten met een dilemma voor de gevels van de hoofdbouw. Als ik u vertel dat de gevels van de nieuwbouw worden bezet met een zeer licht grijze gevelsteen en we de hoofdbouw in contrast willen, dan hebben we het over donkergrijs of nog liever ZWART, dames en heren. Heb ik u ook verteld dat zwarte crepi niet goed is? Wel, dan weet u het nu. Dit werd ons afgeraden door verscheidene architecten en deze keer gaan we luisteren naar hen. Wist u ook dat de donkergrijze gevelstenen zéér lang witte plekken kunnen vertonen die maar na een heel lange tijd weg gaan? Daar willen wij uiteraard niet op wachten...

Dus ga ik op zoek naar alternatieven, in de hoop dat die er zijn, betaalbaar, liefst.

Trouwens, de keuze voor de kleur van de ramen is gemaakt. Geanodiseerd aluminium, binnen en buiten, Yey!

Like the title says, we're having dilemmas for the facade of the main building of our house. If I tell you that the facade from the new building will be in a very light grey and we'd like to have the main building in contrast colour, then we're talking about dark grey or better BLACK, ladies & gentlemen. Have I also told you that black decorate plaster isn't good? Well, then you know now. This was discouraged to us from some architects and this time we'll listen to them. Did u also know that those dark grey stones have white spots on it for a looooong time and they only go away after a very long time as well? Well, we don't want to wait on that...

So I'm looking for alternatives, and I hope there are some which are also affordable!

lighting?

Toen we een grote maand geleden onze lichtstudie ophaalden waren we zeer tevreden. We zijn nog steeds tevreden, maar met de voorgestelde armaturen voor het hele huis komen we aan een slordige 11.000 €.. Dat is véél. Té veel. Daarom zijn we nu op zoek naar een gelijkaardig maar wat goedkoper toestel voor elke voorgestelde lamp in het huis. Ik probeer de plannen een dezer dagen op de blog te zetten, dan begin ik aan mijn zoektocht en jullie kunnen uiteraard volgen.

Ik heb natuurlijk hier en daar al wat rondgekeken, zo vind ik in Habitat echt wel mijn ding.

When we went about a month ago to get our lighting study we were very pleased. We're still pleased with it, but with the lighting elements she presented us, the price for all lighting in our house, increases to 11.000 €.. That is a LOT. It's actually too much. This is the reason why we are now on a search for similar lighting elements with a softer price for all elements in our house. I'll try to upload the plans on the blog one of these days and then I'll start my search which you can follow offcourse.

I've allready looked around here and there, so I discovered that I really find my thing in Habitat

Hoewel het momenteel nog niet aan de orde is, moet ik jullie zeggen dat ik geweldige fan ben van zwarte keukenkranen. In combinatie met een zwart-witte keuken (zoals de Nero-Bianco van Kvik) lijkt me dit fantastisch! Dit komt zeker op het "I-wish-lijstje".

Verder moeten we dringend een aantal beslissingen nemen.. Laminaat, kleur van de ramen (buitenkant) en de isolatie.

Ondertussen hoop ik ook dat het vlug stopt met vriezen zodat we terug kunnen starten!

However it isn't something for the near future, I have to tell you that I'm really fond of black kitchen faucets. In combination with a black&white kitchen (as the Nero-Bianco from Kvik) it seems great! This definitely will be on the "I-wish-list".

On the other hand we have to make some decisions pretty soon.. The laminate floorings, the color of the windows at the outside and the isolation.

In the meantime I'm hoping it'll stop freezing very soon so we can continue our work!
